Jean-Luc Mwepu is a director with a visual, poetic and suggestive expression, which shines through in every part of his material. Imagery, production design, audio and editing. The collision between worlds and classes characterises his storytelling. At an early age, he started doing skate and bmx movies which opened up his love for film. Since then, the art of evoking emotions with images has been his greatest passion and he has written, directed and edited a wide range of both short films and music videos. In 2020 his short film Without You got a widely recognised, and was amongst others nominated for the prize Startsladden at the Göteborg Film Festival and won Best Film at Skåne Filmfestival.

Jean-Luc has studied screenwriting at the prestigious Alma Screenwriting Academy. He has directed commercials for Spotify and Volvo among others, and created eye-catching music videos for artists such as Omar Rudberg, Daniel Rathana and Ängie.
