Jean-Luc Mwepu is a director with a visual, poetic and suggestive expression.  The collision between worlds and classes characterises his storytelling.

At an early age, he started doing skate and bmx movies which opened up his love for film. Since then, the art of evoking emotions with images has been his greatest passion.

His origins in Congo and that culture are one of his strongest sources of inspiration that make a mark on his films. In 2020 he was nominated for the prize startsladden at the Göteborg Film Festival for his film Without You.
